El Puente, HONDURAS - Washed Process
What We Taste: Brownie, Walnut, Dried Apricot
Roast Level: Light/Medium
This coffee is grown in the Parque Nacional Cerro Azul in Copan, Honduras; an area made famous by the Mayan ruins found nearby. While the area may have more historical roots, the farmer of this coffee lends himself to be more forward thinking. With the benefit of the high elevation of the farm, he is building solar-powered dryers to use for processing his coffee as well as continually improving his farm management and tracking system to increase quality and reduce waste.
